Pose directory?

Hi Friends!

I don’t have much to post atm, as I’ve been sorting out my pose directory properly. I don’t know how much you guys depend on the poses (most of my scenes are entirely posed) but I was wondering if anyone would find it useful if I shared what I do. I’m not entirely sure how best to do that, but I thought I’d offer.

fyi, my pose directory looks like this:

Pose_Directory

Most of those folders have several pose packs within. I basically have almost every pose pack I’ve come across in the last year or so, except for the ones that don’t really add anything to the way I play the game, like selfie ones, or ones with babies, or model ones. Which there are aย lotย of. I have the pictures and the accessories needed within the folders too, as well as my ALL PICS folder which has just the pictures which are then divided into categories for easy viewing. It helps me when I just want to scroll through pictures and see what would fit for a scene I have in my head. See below – the main bulk of pictures are just fairly normal ones that I can use for talking in the legacy.

If you think knowing more could be handy for you, please comment and let me know what I can do! I’m not going to go through and link every pack I have, but I can link/recommend my staple ones, or the names of the creator and packs so you can search for them yourselves.

It’s 2.15GB in total, though since every picture exists twice that’s not all that surprising. But it may give you an idea of just how many poses I have saved on my computer!

So if there’s any poses you’re searching for – or interesting ones you have that you think I might not have – please let me know!

  1. I love this, Carys, you’re so organized! I don’t have many poses, I usually just pop them in when I need them or something ๐Ÿ˜›
I’m going to suggest some of the poses I’ve come across and haven’t see them there. So I use this and this for talking. First one is mainly EA animations but I find them great as they save you the trouble. Then there’s Bee. She’s great and, except for many portrait sets, she also has some casual poses. I especially love this one, this one, this one and <a href="https://posesbybee.com/troubled-teen/"this one/. You should totally check out her site if you haven’t already! Mainly other poses as you probably don’t need the family ones atm. But really, her sets are always well-done and she puts so much work into them.
Oh, btw, I’m going to try my hand at pose-making sometime soon ๐Ÿ˜›

    1. Ah brill, always great to find more poses to add to my collection.
I do know Bee, and I have quite a few of her poses, but thank you ๐Ÿ˜€
Pose making is quite fun, I find, but I’ve realised that most of the poses I need have already been done. But it’ll be useful in the future when there’s lots of magic and such in the legacy ๐Ÿ˜€

  2. I hate when I am looking for a certain pose, but I can never find it again. Plus, there are more than a few broken links to creators that don’t exist anymore.
A list like yours might come in handy (since I am not a creative or patient as you and can’t make a pose to save my life).

  3. Wow, you have so many poses, and they are so organised! Iโ€™m impressed, I tend to keep my pose numbers down so I can use the pose list. I would love to see a directory or something, or at least see which ones are your favourites โ˜บ๏ธ

    1. And yet I still manage to find more all the time haha!
Directories are SO handy tbh. I feel like before I either spent a load of time searching for the right poses or using the same ones again and again.
I just have to figure out the best way to do that which doesn’t involve a lot of work on my part. I might do a closer-up set of images or something. I’ll think on it!

      1. Maybe just link the creators and quickly describe what kind of poses they do? Then we can go check out those creatorsโ€™ downloads and you wonโ€™t have to link every single pose pack?

  4. My poses directory looks like a gigantic mess, since they’re all dumped in my mods folder, along with every other mod I have! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ Oh, and I never save those code pictures – why do I never save those code pictures? ๐Ÿ˜
I always wanted to do the same thing you do and keep them organized, so your post might just be the inspiration I need – thank you for sharing! ๐Ÿ˜€
